You are booking your Walt Disney World holiday, how exciting! But, UK visitors we suggest you do this first:
Apply for ESTAS
The first step in your Disney holiday booking process is to sort out your ESTA:
An ESTA is the first step in booking a Walt Disney World holiday
Now you have done this, and you have been approved, you can book your Walt Disney World holiday.
How can I book my Walt Disney World holiday?
Package holidays
You can book everything together in one place as a package holiday. Whether online, on the phone, or in store you can have a travel agent group your holiday together in one easy manageable booking. TUI and Virgin are some of the well-known holiday brands offering package deals to Walt Disney World from the UK. Both have plenty of onsite and offsite accommodation options. Offering ticket deals, as well as add on options to book car hire, insurance, or transfers all in one place.
Direct through Disney
You can book through Disney directly, which is the best way to get access to some great deals if you are looking to stay onsite. (In our opinion anyway). Disney only offer resort stays, so if you are looking to stay offsite you will need to book this elsewhere. You can book flights, Disney hotel, and your park tickets all through Disney.
You can also book just your resort stay and tickets, choosing to book your flight elsewhere if you are building a multi-resort holiday. If you want a few days in Universal or elsewhere in Florida for example.
If you are booking through Disney you may also want to consider adding a dining plan, or making the most of their current 2025 offer for free dining packages with resort stays.
Do it all yourself separately
If a package and a direct with Disney booking isn’t what you are after you can book all of the components of your Disney holiday separately. You will manage it all yourself. Flights, accommodation, and tickets are all readily available from separate vendors and there are offers available.
Park tickets
You have lots of options when booking you Disney Park tickets. Booking direct through Disney is one way to get your UK exclusive Magic Ticket.
If you are looking to visit other theme parks, consider booking with online vendors attractiontickets.com or Floridatix.com for combination tickets.
You can buy park tickets on the gates in Disney when you get there, but this often works out much more expensive for UK guests.
Extra booking essentials
After booking your holiday you will still have a few extras to book to make sure your holiday runs smoothly. Some of these options will apply to everyone like travel insurance, whereas other people will choose between transfers and car hire.
Travel Insurance
If you don’t have an annual policy, be sure to get travel insurance as soon as you book your holiday.
Car hire
At this point you can book your care hire from one of many vendors in the US.
Transfers
If you are not purchasing car hire, travelling from the airport to a Disney Resort is easy with Mears Connect. Or you can choose to purchase an Uber or private transfer.
